ASSEMBLE BED FRAMES
This is a hands-on opportunity to assemble our platform bed frames that are provided with every bed delivery. Each frame is hand assembled from a kit. Frames are then stored in our warehouse until we deliver beds to kids on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
This is a great volunteer opportunity for small groups of 1-4 or larger groups of 10+. You will be working with light tools such as a drill, rubber mallet and box cutters. Frames and tools may vary.

A Few Things to Prepare for Volunteering
Attire: You will be dealing with metal bed frames. While there is no strict dress code for our volunteers, we advise that you consider close-toe shoes to protect yourself!
Mobility: Please be advised that this volunteer opportunity requires moderate to heavy physical activity, including lifting and carrying metal platform frames (weighing approximately 20-30 lbs each), as well as standing for extended periods. If you have any concerns about the physical requirements or need accommodations, please contact us in advance at info@myveryownbed.org so we can work together to ensure a safe and positive experience for all.
