"It was very rewarding to see the joy and pure happiness on the faces of these kids and their families when we were putting those beds together for them."
Size: The blanket needs to comfortably cover a twin bed, at least 58" x 90" (if you start with fabric that is 58 inches wide that will work fine).
Style: Each child lists preferred themes and colors when requesting a bed, for example “LOL Dolls”, “videogames”, “baby shark”. We love receiving blankets that can be matched to these types of themes, even if they don’t fit the theme exactly.
High priority need: We are running low on blankets that match teenagers’ requests. Please help us fill this gap! We need blankets in "solid" colors for example - grey, navy, blue, black, red and light purple.
For more information: Please check out our fleece blanket instructions, or email with any questions.
Volunteers also help us collect needed supplies for our "dream kits" - the pillow, mattress pads, sheets, blankets, and stuffed animal that accompany each bed. You can host an in-person or virtual drive in your neighborhood, school, church, or work community.
"I saw firsthand how a bed can give these kids a sense of pride, this (bed) is mine."
