My Very Own Bed respects and protects the privacy of its donors. This policy is intended to assist donors in understanding what information we ask donors to provide, how we use donor information, and how donors can control this information. We will not share donor information with anyone except as allowed in this policy. 

 

In general, My Very Own Bed uses donor information to administer and expand our charitable activities and to communicate with our donors about our program and impact. Donors may notify My Very Own Bed at any time if they do not wish to receive these communications.

Information My Very Own Bed Collects. Through donations (online, by mail, or in person) or other communication, My Very Own Bed collects information about donors, volunteers, and potential supporters including their name, affiliated organization, title, phone numbers, e-mail, address, donation information, connections with other donors in our database, and volunteer activity. This information is stored in a secure, online database managed by QGiv. 

 

QGiv similarly respects and protects donor privacy and will never share, rent, or sell a donor’s email address or other contact information. QGiv’s website uses industry standard security measures to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under its control. Online Donations. All online donor transactions to My Very Own Bed are also managed by QGiv. The information donors provide to QGiv is used only to complete the donation. With your permission, your name and contact information is provided to My Very Own Bed. If you do not wish to share your name and contact information with My Very Own Bed or you choose to make your donation anonymously, QGiv will not share your name or contact information. 

 

Sharing information with Third Parties: We will not sell, share or trade our donors' names or personal information with any other entity, nor send mailings to our donors on behalf of other organizations. This policy applies to all information received by My Very Own Bed, both online and offline, on any Platform ("Platform", includes the My Very Own Bed website), as well as any electronic, written, or oral communications. To the extent any donations are processed through a third-party service provider, our donors’ information will only be used for purposes necessary to process the donation.

 

Corrections: Donors who seek to correct any information My Very Own Bed has collected about them, may do so by contacting My Very Own Bed at info@myveryownbed.org.  

Photographs: My Very Own Bed takes photographs during public events and volunteer activities and occasionally selects quality photos for distribution via our website, social media, or print materials. If you are included in a photograph and would prefer that it not be distributed, contact My Very Own Bed at info@myveryownbed.org.
